Quote of the day:
“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” – Jim Rohn
Life is like a journey. There are many different roads that one can take and that choice is yours.
Do you take time to make life plans? Or do you go with the flow? Sometimes we are so busy with our daily lives, constantly surrounded by people, activities that there is so much ‘noise’ and deep down you may not be feeling happy. For some we are sitting away while time ticks that years pass by, hoping for some miracle and nothing happens.. and then you suddenly start to question things.
There are many of us who at some time in our lives reach that point where we question ourselves on whether we are happy, what is the purpose of life, question their career or even what is their actual passion or interests and can they really build a life or career around that. Life can feel complicated, but sometimes it involves heavily on firstly taking a step back and adjusting and training your mindset and setting yourself some sort of plan. Take the time to stop, take a breath, reflect and really think about what you are really doing and what you really want in life.
By stopping and making plans, it can give you a sense of purpose and to set your own mission. At first your mind may be blank, but that’s normal. It may even mean a career break, travelling and some alone time – a week, a few, months, a year.. It may take some time for it to come to you – be patient and stay positive. You’ll be amazed by how this time has benefited you.
Set yourself goals and small steps that will lead you to fulfil those goals. Believe in yourself no matter what your goal is, and never compare yourself with the people around you. Life’s not a race; everyone is at their own pace, some get a head start of others, some need to work much harder, some get lucky, some not.. and so on.. Everyone has their own purpose and expectations, so focus on your own. Remember, we only live once. Wouldn’t it be a waste if we never took some risk in life to try to make something out of it?
By having some kind of plan, it will give you a clearer image of the path of where you want to head to and show what is important to you and what you wish to achieve.
Another quote before I sign off..
“Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you ready or not, to put this plan into action.” – Napoleon Hill
